It's unforgetable that Kopassus had a teribble fatality accident while trying this STABO formation some years back. A handful of highly valuable & expensive commandos died for nothing.

Rifle are prototype made by indonesian soldier.

It cannot use STANAG, but there was a talk with Malaysia that they probably want to acquire the SM3, but STANAG is a must.

The prototypes were made by Indonesian soldier or PT Pindad ?
indonesian soldier may be with help with pindad because he works with a pindad in start.

What is the different between that SBC-1 & SS1-V5 (as well as Marines' SS1-M5 & Raider's SS1-R5) ? All are 5.56 carbines.

Yes, definetely. Side arms are carried by officers (most of the time) & sergeants (depending the mission).

the SBC-1 doesnt have full auto mode. only semi automatic.. as i say, its a civil version of SS-1V5/R5. why it paint blue?? i dont know...
