Bravo for Indonesian marines.
Just a pesky question though, are those berets for mess-dress or ceremonial only or perhaps headgears for combat?
If I were a sniper, it can be sighted by some 900 yards and zeroed in. :cantbeli:

hahaha... off course, those berets only for ceremonial... agree with u, thats why our marines still operated their old gear. but as General Douglas MacArthur said, "Old soldiers never die; They only fade away."... anyway, our marines soon will be equiped with BMP-3F...

What I meant was any country that has this unit might put them under tight-spot.
Why it has to be COIN and APC or Recon functionality when it comes to armor. Indonesian military (make that Marinier) has never adopted MBT to their menu. Though by standard Naval prepositioning warfare, with the hi-density population and industrial complex (as big cities) are in a proximity of indonesian coastal line. Hence Naval-gun as support to defend those assets are invalidated. Forget the CAP/CAS from TNI Air Force, let alone Air-ground support from internal Indonesian Marines Aviators.
Within this concept, MBT will come in handy to provide superior precision fire-support.
Rumor has it that TNI will obtain MBT T90's, be it from India or Soviet. Another question need to be contemplated is: How many will be alotted to these brave purple-berets men after their other siblings?

And what vehicle is the triple 20mm mounted on? I've seen a photo of one mounted on a Mercedes truck, but yours seems to have an open cab.

the 4X4 with QW : HORNET 250...
the 20mm guns are Hispano Suiza, for the truck, i don't know for sure. but those guys (the soldier) told me it was REO TRUCK (truk reo)..
