great pictures amigos. keep it up.
And how did you know about this '' secret'' project? I didn't know anything about this project till a found this image in a navy's officer website. The weird thing is that there is no information about this on the Navy's website.
Big difference.

Intresting
The design has elements of the Meko 100 and Vosper 85M designs.
Forward gun looks like a 57MM and vertical launch tubes a bit aft. Large enough to fit Barak SAMs or Exocet/Harpoon SSM. The upper midship looks like they can launch Gabriel SSMs similar to the Elat Class. However, given from the experiences of the IDF on the Elat Class the Gabriels were removed due to weight issues. Above the hanger looks like a SAM launcher for the RAM. I think a better option is to install a Phalanx or Goalkeeper at this spot.
Overall it looks like a good multipurpose platform. Ideal for critical choke points, sea control and escort duties. But keep in mind, the first duty of any warship is that it must float. How well it handles the Pacific Ocean currents and sea conditions is critical.
The United States is giving Mexico two recently decommissioned amphibious ships. The two (formerly USS Ogden and USS Cleveland) are Austin class LPDs that entered service in the 1960s From==>

USS Ogden was formally decommissioned on 21 February 2007. She is to be towed to the vicinity of Hawaii and sunk in a gunnery exercise. (Source: KNSD-TV News 20070221.)
Does Any one know What happend to the USS Ogden going to the mexican navy like money issues or something?
Hey, how the FX05 going? Will it be the standard rifle for he Mexican Army?
Just what i thought. It was never true that the SU-30MK project was canceled. Right now there is a discussion going on in the Parliament whether they give the Navy the Money to buy them or not. The cost of each plane would be around:36-37 Million dollars.

The FX-05 is a modified version of the G36 licensed by HK.
There was so much false info out there i heard about it but i also heard about HK almost doing a sue because it was like not a version and the info came from 2 english sites and one i saw in spanish. So its kind of hard to know the truth since there are so many rumors out there.
Good evening young ones.
The mexican rifle project is currently under production, but only due to an agreement. H&K got really mad about the mexican military industry doing some source of piracy on the G36. This was settled down while president Calderon stayed in Germany. That´s about it. Matter was burried under several layers of "eyes only".
About the Navy Su´s, There aren´t going to be none, executive left them apart and legislative majority also agreed to leave them out of the ongoing projects all ready happening. Press can be sometimes a pain in the ass and stupid.
