HK engineers were shown copies of the weapon by the SEDENA and sadly (for them) it was demonstrated (and they left satisfied) that it is not a copy or derivative of any version of the G36.
Too bad, so sad, for those that claimed to have x-ray vision and could actually see the internals of the Xiuhcoatl and kept on stating that it was a rip-off.

Last Time president Bush came to Cancun, we deployed our f-5 Don´t know why, but any way it was a nice shot.
A rare shot of an F-5 doing a trainig interception, this is not real world.
Recently mexico celebrated 45 years of T-33 operations, onlya few are in a very doubtfull operational status, but some still fly. This is not a front line jet anymore but its a main asset in trainig and refresh. Recentrly some were painted witha special decoration to celebrate so many years of this fab bird in our air force. A true heritage bird.

The FAM is laughable.
It´s a professional force, It may not be modern and edgie, but is full of fine aviators and tecnitians of prime level. They do the job at hand and thas´s what matters in the wolrd.

Dude it´s not a popularity contest, and we are not a military state that has to deal with foreing threats, so modern and top of the line aircraft are not the hardware we need to acomplish our missions.
Better find out more about Mexico´s defense needs and challenges after doing so laughable comments.
