Something else we should think of is Artillery... I have been reviewing and I noticed that Mexican Artillery pieces don't surpass the 105mm only mortars which are 120mm. Mexico has a very large territory and we should start thinking of ideas for a new Long Range Artillery o Coastal Missile System. Here is the BM-30 and 156mm Self-Propelled Artillery System.Click image for larger version.

Another option can be a Coastal Missile System like the Rubezh.
This one is locally made by the Cuban Army.

You're all idiots. Mexico should just buy some new Iranian Shaffirmohamodinomadotaudazwoqudsalishiffaqinshallahkarmaanayatollahwantazuraadfiqood 2000 7th generation plasma stealth fighters capable of hovering while supercruising at mach 71 with an internal weapons bay holding 720 nuclear armed ICBM's.

Honeslty we've all discussed this over and over. Mexico needs to seriously modernize it's armed forces and the Mexican military knows this. They've tried to obtain new attack and transport helicopters, modern mbt's, ifv's, heavy air superiority aircraft, new artillery, frigates, destroyers, missiles, new radars, bombers, armored vehicles, all of it. But it all never goes through for the same reason. The legislature consistantly blocks any major arms purchase, no matter how needed it is and as much as we'd like to bitch about it, that's not going to change unless we vote them out and make it very clear that this is what we want. Bitch about it to the goverment write a letter to your senator. I have. Mexico although flawed is a democracy and we have the means to bring about change, but we need to work at it if we want to get things accomplished.

Well, then Mexico isn't a superpower in the world nor Latin America.... If Mexican Armed Forces don't acquire new weapons how can we then support the Idea that Mexican Army is in the TOP 30???

Well a Bomber Fleet is only used by Offensive Armies like USA who really like to invade.... I don't want this to become a Politics theme but we all know that the countries who buy Bombers is to attack, not to defend. If you acquire an F-16 or a Su-30 its the same thing but with lower payload. Still, Mexico has the F-5 which is a good Ground Attack plane. In fact we used to train to down F-5 when I was in the Army a long time ago. And the Final Test was to down an F-5 which was actually an aerial target... But that was a really long time ago. Greetings

Yes... if they don't get new weapons we can't support the idea of the Mexican Armed forces being in the Top 30...

What's this "we" s**t? It's been said over and over again that they need to modernize, but if you haven't noticed, Mexico's priorities are focused on fighting the cartels and providing disaster relief when needed. There is no external threat facing them in order for them buy heavy weapons such as tanks and self propelled artillery.

I never said they were. I'm not the one obsessed with ranking their military.
