I wonder if I will ever be able to post and meaningful replay to Maurader? Why does the web page keep going away?

Will you tell Maurader that I believe he and I actually DO AGREE; that perhaps he misread my comment about NAFTA?

NAFTA never got going; it is a fact. Why on April 2, 2011 - just this month - did the three countries meet at the White House to discuss abolishing

Did you catch that? Is there anything more recent available regarding the desertions or defections that are causing concern? You had no comment; just the footage from a couple of years ago.

    Thank you!
No, I have no info about the desertions but, I do know that now the soldiers wages are about 9,300 pesos a month about 700 dollars (for lower rank soldiers) a great improvement. A decent pay in some areas of the country.

Not to mention a whole lot of other improvements, such as better medical care, easier access to credit for homes, and a 10,000 peso a month pension to your widow or survivors in case of death.

Also, to be fair about the desertions, we have to state that the vast majority desert during the early stages of training, when they realize that they were not cut out for army life, and most of them without their weapons, so don't get the idea that most of them are going over to the cartels and offering their services and expertise to them. These constitute a tiny fraction of deserters.

Article in spanish about an alledged abuse of authority on a Human Rights Activist in Guerrero...
65,000 have been killed tortured and raped by the Mexican military since 2006?......... For some reason I don't think thats true. Additionally, what "horrific" human rights abuses did they have to endure? Waiting for an hour while their car was searched?

You that's mainly left-wing commie-pinco election year propaganda B.S. They've gone from 40,000, to 50,000 (which I think is closer to the truth), to 60,000, and I've even heard some say 150,000 dead, and of course they blame each one on Felipe calderon and call it Calderon's War, as if drug dealers weren't everyone's problem. It pisses me off each time I hear the spew their lies. I bet that those killed directly by governemnt forces (i.e. army, marines, federal police) is less than 5,000, and then 99% of them criminals. It's just like Joseph Goebbels used to say "repeat a lie a thousand times, and it becomes the truth", or something like that.

Has Mexico received their new Blackhawks yet or do they get them in 2013?

There are two more UH-60M Blackhawks coming in service for the Mexican Federal Police sometime this year. No word, when or if the Mexican Air Force are post to get those eight Blackhawks though.

I'll take anything from any human rights groups as a pound of salt definitely from Mexico which is known to work with cartel groups. A woman was who for a human rights group was against the Mexican military because she said the army killed her son. However, a few days later, she was later found gunned down by the cartel groups because she was supporting a rival cartel group. Yeah, so I would take any sources from these groups as a grain of salt.
