At first glance, I thought it was some type of launcher for a UAV. However, I see what looks like a folding mast with a small surveillance radar antenna.

I think RedArmy and the Iranian strong!! and the Chinese EngRish Expert should have one thread together.

Anyway, thanks for the pictures and videos - I have been lurking here for awhile, just have nothing to contribute to the Mexican thread.

This what the Mexican military needs to do.

First thing that the Mexican military needs to do is to increase the budget to $5-$6 billion to $40-$50 billion which would help the troops, sailors, marines, and airmen while at the same time buy new or upgrade new equipment in bulk instead of couple of here and there.

The second thing is that the Mexican military needs a massive overhaul to replace or upgraded their military equipment like vehicles, aircraft, and ships in which most are 25 years old while a few are date back since World War II. So, this right here needs to be addressed urgently.

The third thing is that the Mexican Army and the Mexican Air Force needs to be seperated because vast majority of funds are going towards troops, NCO's, and Generals while little is going towards to buying or upgrading military equipment. IMHO, this should've have been done after the 1959 border clash with Guatemala.

Too me, those three are most important things that the Mexican military needs to do.

No, it was the Cuban cosmonaut Arnaldo Tamayo Mendez who was the first Hispanic and Black to fly to space in 1980 in Soyuz 38. The Mexican astronaut Rodolfo Neri Vela who flown in STS-61-B in the Space Shuttle in 1985.

I can't really tell either. I thought it was maybe a UAV launcher until i noticed the bump on the roof of the truck but that may just be an roof mounted air conditioner unit. The extended cab International/Mercedes trucks sometimes have an exterior rood mounted AC unit. I can't really tell what it is. My bet would be UAV launcher since I know the PF has several UAV's in service but I've never heard of them having radar towers like this.

It's obvious I think. It is (and sorry for not knowing the right term) one of those cranes that expand outwards and scans to see what is in the inside of shipping trucks and also containers arriving at mexico and other places in the country. :P

god I don't really know about this things... My strong is Vehicles, Surface-Air Missiles and that stuff I guess you guys know more than I do on this thread. I wish it was a Mobile Radar Station.... that would be very interesting to study but it doesn't seems like it... If we had a more clear view of it we can maybe find out. Do you have any other image of this vehicle on a different angle?
