The AMX-10RC sure gives its true meaning to the expression "reconnaissance en force", as when it was built it basically packed the firepower of an MBT.

It sure does pack a punch, I only wish Morocco ordered much more. They form the fast attack/interception squads on the ground. After a Polisario attack the AMX-10RC raced to cut them off from the Algerian border. M-60 isn't that fast and it's a big target.

Man, you have drop-dead beautiful mountains in Maroc. That F-5 picture is really something. So, will the Rafale replace the old Mirages F-1 ? Will the F-5 be replaced too ?

With the upgrade of the F-1(RC-400/MICA/AASM..etc) and the F-5E Tiger III to the TIII i'dont think the Rafale will replace any of them maybe later but not now.

Yep but some 13 F-5A/B must be replaced... I think that 24 F-5E/F will replace the F-5A/B, non-modernised F-1's (More than 18) will replace the previous F-5E/F, and the 18 (or 24) Rafale will be added to the main moroccan AF squadrons... but I'm asking myself where all these fighters will be based at? It's sure that the (18/24) Rafale & (27)modernised F-1 will be based @ Sidi-Slimane AB, F-5E/F still based @ Meknes AB... but for the rest I really don't know... for the non-modernised F-1 per example... maybe @ Laayoune AB (6 hangars)? Or maybe some fighters will be based in other AB's: Benguerir, Kenitra... voire Nador, Errachidia and Tan-Tan? (I'll still asking myself until Raffies will be delivered ) (Or I'll try to ask my Pa... but he rarely gives me complete answers ... meme that sometimes he gives me no answers lol)

There is no doubt in my mind, RMAF Rafales are coming. Algeria is arming up so Morocco has to do the same. We might not have their funds but Morocco goes for quality. It would be the most stupid thing ever to see the ENEMY obtaining weapons that are of offensive nature. There is nothing defensive about Su-30 fighter bombers or Su-24 bombers.
