A few pages on East German small arms I scanned from Vom Himmel's East German Airborne book. I'll scan more and post them when I get time.

When my dad used to be in Polish Army in mid 70s they had some political meeting with some kind of political officer.

As my father, not being bothered to listen about fighting the capitalist enemy and abou achievements of socialism... he was playing with a bullet... and it blown up in his hands...

    He was accused of sabotage

But it calmed down later on

Comrade, The Exploding Bullet should have been arrested and the Manufacturing Centre investigated for the unauthorised discharge of state projectile material, the damage to State Property... EG your Father, and the nerves of the Political Officer.... .

Such Wreckers have no place in a Workers Playground.

On the plus side it does show the strength of the Rhetoric of the Political Officer, if just a Progressive discussion can set off munitions... he truly is Conforming to his Norm for Political Activity and Agitation with in his Regiment.

    Urrah!.

It would look good on his Record of Service.
