What about some pics of "Afghan Regime Troops"????
They were no official Warsaw Pact Member, but in fact they were a part of them in some way.
Some uniforms from my Polish Army collection:
1) Infantry PFC - early 50's. Polish steel helmet wz.50 + M48 summer tunic
2) Infantry 1st lieutnant in summer field uniform - middle of 50's.
3) Infantry soldier in woolen tunic - 1958.
4) Infantry corporal in winter greatcoat M.48

The figure of Afghan soldier is a part of whole drawing... That explains your doubts.
You are right.
It is a R-126.
A real medals collector
And some polish propogadna posters from the Warsaw Pact era:
"Guarding peacefull life of a nation"
"What have YOU done to support the restoration ?"
"Joy and pride of parents"
"Recruits form the line!"
"After fight - work"
"The giant and dwarfs"
"we're watching"
O Really?
So why we do this thread here?
@ All
Stop posting, find the rest with the search function.
So, shut up and stop flamming this thread
You can request pics all you want but I started this thread for the Soviet bloc/Warsaw Pact/Eastern bloc/communist European type armies.
I don't think the other commie countries, like Afgan troops, as well as Cuban troops, North Vietnam, etc.... don't really fall into this catagory.
No offense but if you really want pics I'm sure you can find pics if you look around.
BTW - great stuff bolas, thanks!!

very strange looking gun, like a czech SKS
One book I highly recommend on this subject is Osprey's Warsaw Pact Ground Forces (Elite 10). Great book, even more so with the shift of military publishing from the East to the whole SF thing.
