Great find, and the .50 tearing up the building was insane.
Great find, and the .50 tearing up the building was insane.
that vidoe's awesome, that .50 is some piece of weaponery
At the end of the video, what vehicles are those? Looks like 1 Stryker and 3 Iraqi Army vehicles, the Polish Dzjiks (spelling..?) ?
I don't have a trained ear(or I just missed it) but where does the .50 come in? Also were those explosions near the end mortar fire?
The .50 is the gigantic sniper rifle that creates a dust cloud in the room when its fired.
This would be a great policy change, DOD public affairs needs to get off the "place, time, casualty" releases and start puting out video like this to counter insurgent propaganda that comes out within hours of attacks.
Even if troops are wounded or killed, at least its a fitting memorial that they died for something instead of their only recognition being a one-line press release.
O..okay. I was thinking of the machine gun version. Yea the sniper .50 cal is a freakin awesome gun. And as for those random explosions at the end, are those mortar explosions or artillery. I know that they are not airial bombs, and I have never really seen any videos of mortar rounds landing.
That one guy isn't so bad, he fires in 1-2 round bursts. A couple of them were pretty bad though. Then after that a US Soldier comes in with his weapon and says that the Iraqis got their target, so the old adage: "if you can't put rounds downrange accurately, put alot of rounds downrange" is definitely in effect.
Or for the math inclined:
Accuracy X Rate of Fire = Volume of Fire = Lethality
nice vid, best ive seen in a while.
