be more specific? also, it is likely to vary by MEPS, so if anyone has actually processed through or worked at the meps pima is asking about, that would probably help.

Ive been to MEPS JAX twice.
Do what you have to do. If you walk to the wrong place they are going to ask what are you doing and who told you to go there, pretty basic... you're herded around the place. When you get to the area where they do all the medical testing not everyone will go to the same rooms in the same order, but everything is pretty basic. Just hurry up and wait. oh yeah and when you first get there in the morning pay attention to what the bald Navy dude is saying... at one point he said "All applicants but Army go to the briefing room" and I thought he said something more like "All Army applicants..." so for a second i stayed sitting and then realize i was surrounded by dudes that had told me before they were going Army... so yeah i had to get up and was the last one to walk away, felt like a moron lol.Hey i have a question how strict are the MEPS
Whenever they tell you to wait for them to call you over the speakers, you can just chill and sit or go to the game room and play pool.
Full physical test... meaning that someone will tell you to drop your underwear. The doc going to grab your sack and tell you to cough twice, then you turn around and spread your butt cheeks.what type of things do they make you do??
The Ramada hotel where you're going to stay sucks... but the food is not bad at all and the rooms are decent. The general areas of the hotel blow tho.
Its just MEPS, the place sucks. But its whatever...
been reading this thread from the beginning, made it to page 16, but first question of many. is going in with the buddy system the best way to go in the Marines or Army? I really want to join the Army, but all my friends are joining the Marines, and i dont want to go in alone, I hear its easier when you have friends that you know very very well.
I remember one kid in boot camp that went in the buddy system. His buddy went UA and he got thrashed everyday untill his buddy was contacted. And another, when his buddy ****ed up on something, he got thrashed for it, vice versa.
Wow, reading all these posts about people motivated to go to boot camp (well, atleast on the green side), is kind of hillarious. Glad I'm getting out in about a year. One deployment left starting in less than 96 hours.
evning Gents,
today i was able to get with my Marine recruiter, and was able to take a practice ASVAB.
I came out with a score of 74, is that average? my recruiter didnt tell me anything about my score.
Practice ASVAB is going to give you an idea of how well are you going to score on the real ASVAB. Scoring more than 50 is a good score for the recruiters.
I scored like 70 on the real ASVAB. That means that i did better than 70% of the people who have taken the test before i think.
One of my best friends is a grunt (USMC) right now and when him and his roommate came over 2 weeks ago they mentioned the buddy system and said its bs, that you will end up separating anyway.been reading this thread from the beginning, made it to page 16, but first question of many. is going in with the buddy system the best way to go in the Marines or Army? The buddy system...haha, that **** didn't last past A School.
Here's my situation guys -
28 years old, already finished college, been in and out of work, can't get any stable jobs, thinking of joining the Canadian Forces Reserves.
