What is available?
EditL The reason why they asked about 35 P is because you passed the DLAB...You're still in the intel branch but you're doing SIGINT...high speed ****.
Now I am stuck trying to find a new MOS to choose from and I am just running into a wall of bricks. I was so set on 35M, now I am just completely lost and I can't really find anything else that sticks out as much.

I am told that the worst part of boot camp is the mental part, is that true? also did you get the MOS you asked for? I want crew chief as my MOS but theyve made me make three selections so I am doubtful ill get what i ask for. my two other choices where intelligence analyst and infantry. But I did request for my shipping date to be moved up from november 12th to october the 5th and that was granted
They definitely full of ****. In fact 35P is more more sensitive than 35M in the fact that they actually use equipment that is Top Secret. 35M also requires a TS clearance, but they rarely deal with anything that is anything above Secret. You should really look into 35P because they do some high speed stuff and their skills are more marketable in the civilian sector. Also, they don't have to deal with as much report writing, and paper work as 35M. A lot of 35Ms hate their jobs, but if you're keeping your PT up as a 35P, you can really do some cool ****.
Tell them if you don't get what you want you'll join the Air force. Then go talk to an Air force recruiter and make the right decision!
35M is interesting. 35P is highly technical, so you'll get a good job when you get out. All source intel is always in demand too.
Roger that, I am gonna take 35P if it's still available, if not I am gonna kick myself in the ass for being stubborn. I was thrown off by Crypto Linguist and listening to the wrong person who told me all that job does is translate. ****, I am going to kick myself in the ass if 35P isn't available on Monday.
Boot camp is mental, sometimes thats all it is. You'll unbderstand when you all are punished for 1 guy, or when you are on a hike that seems to be ending but it turns out its no where near done. etc. etc. etc. All you can do is take it all inb, get a sense of humor and just push through. Thats just me though.
As for MOS, i got lucky and the Corps needs one guy in our whole company to go to tanks. I didnt get an MOS, per say, going in. I was contracted as "combat support" which ment ill either get Arty,amphib/tanks, anti-air. So it was all in the air, but ultimatly i was just happy to be there.
AFAIK, Crew chief is not an entry level job. I think you got to be a mechanic of some sort till you rate being a crew chief. That was the plan of my rackmate who wanted Crew Chief also. How was you DLAB?, and good luck to you if you get 03.![]()
Just reserved my slot as a 35P with a 5 year contract and a 15K bonus. Providing I pass a security interview... So fingers crossed.
That's great. I was 96B after my primary 11B MOS. Got an intel position in my guard unit after active duty. But most of all made good use of my GI bill. Good luck.
Thank you, I am just worried that I wont pass the security clearance part because I have MIPs for tobacco possession and bad credit on my record.
I've been trying to figure out a good workout routine to get prepared for the Army BCT in less than two months and haven't been able to quite figure out one that doesn't use weights of a gym since I have neither. Any tips?
Hello,
Good to finally get the account activation. My username, just so you all know, is nothing offensive but rather stands for Read The Fu**ing Instructions as my fiance keeps reminding me to do. I can't contribute much in the way of photos but look forward to getting involved in the discussions. Hope to get to know some of you well.
