A buddy of mine just got 30K in bonuses, got the job he wanted, and is shipping in fourth months. Hes Army.

I had to go through hell to get the mos I wanted(0311, Reserves), I'm pretty sure I'm getting no bonus, and I ship in 2342342345 months. Kill babies.

Id describe MEPS as a glorified physical, thats all. I meen they are gonna test everything on you from blood, range of motion, and hearing. Just be patient and pay attention, hopefully they will provide a snack mid-MEPS ( it lasts about all morning). Your OSO didnt tell you to wear anything specifically to wear? I was told we have to wear slacks and a button down shirt when i went.

I assume your going through the PLC route?

My OSO didn't tell me anything except that they're putting me up in a hotel for the night and its going to be a long day....and yes I am going the PLC route

Yeah, all we got was a poolee shirt (sizes all jacked up, of course) and that silver box of info/knowledge and some Marine Corps stickers.

Army enlistees were bragging about their bonuses and talkin' big: "Im going special forces, the Army is leader. Marines follow".

Haven't posted in a while, but thought I'd give an update. I applied for OCS with the USMC, hopefully I'll get accepted, I've got to go to MEPs next week any advice/warnings? I've been told not to wear a white shirt....

A buddy in my unit finished OCS not to long ago.He is a lance criminal and did OCS.Was acting 1st Sgt for his class.

Negative on any other regs but a "high & tight" for OCS. If you notice on the photo, you are also required to wear polo shirt with slacks (casual business attire) and shoes for final formation prior to weekend Libo. It's far worse on a 3 year duty with the Imperial Guard at "8th & I".
