Make sure the Military is what you want. Once you Sign and Say the Oath, you are stuck. And please do not tell the Drill Sgt or whom ever later that Yes you had your hand up doing the oath, but did not say I DO. That has been tried and it does not work.
Pick a job in which you and not what the recruitor wants you to join. Make sure that you are signed up for the job you wanted before you sign the form. The Navy will sometimes say well this slot is filled up, but take this job and in a year or so you can go to this job. Now I say Navy as this happen to my niece and she did not join up because of the switch. Saying that the other services may or may not do this too.
Just be careful. Also look at a job in the military that can be carried over to when you get out. Not all jobs have a civilian equal.
But you will have fun and see other countries and people and learn to be accountable for your actions and see a better person in most cases.
ARMY RULES. Marines are the next best fighting men in the world after the Army. Navy just drives the row boats
Just Kidding I grew up around Sailors and Marines and that is why I joined the Army.
Hated Bell Bottoms and the Marines scared the SH#T out of me.
But all tolded I CAN NOT THINK OF A BETTER MILITARY THEN THE
USA's
take the asvab again tomorrow.
I'm currently attending college and was interested in joining the Marine Corps reserve as an Officer. I've looked up the three possible routes into becoming a Marine Corps officer, including NROTC. However all seem to be for active duty. I was wondering if anyone on the forum had any off hand knowledge on how to becom a reserve officer.
PS. I've talked to a recruiter on campus and he gave me basically all the info I've already read up on.
Thanks in advance.
Im not sure about all that but when you go to meps and stay at the hilton make sure to bring some cash because the food they give you sucks. You can order from the menu at the restuarant but dont drink at bar the because they will breathalizer you at meps and i think it will hold you up.
This should help, it was implemented shortly after I went to OCS.

On a side note can anyone here offer any personal experiences or knowledge about the 35M (97E) MOS HUMINT. I am also looking at this right now and seeing that a language is currently not required it has caught my attention. It give's you as TopSecret Clearance (this just changed from Secret).
Anything would be helpful, please note that I have read all the official descriptions for this already.
there any decent firing ranges around there? I'm tired of driving 40 miles to go shoot.
I should be arriving in mid-march, or theabouts.
