Open fire
Baggy-Style is wanted and yes, troussers are a bit too long so please forgive if you don't like it
Critcs are welcome, especially for the Webbing that you can't see mainly![]()
I'm right there with you!
But I also think that this thread is made for airsofters/paintballers who wear
DPM and want to show their outfit. Without any photos of us this thread
makes no sense, huh?
I didn't say that I want to reenact or pretend to be a British soldier,
I also don't wear any Flags or Insignias. I wear DPM because I like the camo
and want to use for the sport/game!
Anyway I think you shouldn't attack every guy on the pictures, just because
they are not British or not as old as a real soldier. It's a game and I think
everyone with a common sense should distinguish between game and the reallity.
Just my 2 cents
Regards,
Lukas
The flag thing was different, if you're minus flags or insignia or and not pretending to be doing it to honour anyone I dont really see a problem personally. But current serving members of our armed forces may think differently.. I think you should definitely sharpen your dress up though... get some trouser twists and pull in that jacket draw cord! (Though again that one might differ between members and there branches)
As ill say again, squaddies will NEVER stop moaning, unless there is an 'airsofter only' camoflage developed, and that doesnt include the blue **** you see kicking around
I donate to forces chariites, i pay my respects, i have friends in the forces...My god i was even in the Army.
However, if i want to wear DPM, Tricolour or ACUpat, i bloody well will and ive no more 'earned to right' to wear it than anyone else.
Anyhoo sorry for the derailment.
Message relay from Red-Phos to DOE.
"Listen no one is on about you so hop it ! Also, As an Ex-Forces lad (Apparently) you're telling us that seeing Flags etc does not piss you off at all?"
[UA] Soap...why don't you show us your Royal Marine loadout you been working on??
Gladly.
I don't want to prompt a new discussion about Insignias, flags, and so on
This outfit is leant on a RM gear! I won't wear any flags or patches.
I still need an Osprey BA with a few pouches, then it's good to go.
But to your reassurance, RAFREGT, I also have a real life that costs enough
money so I can't buy everything in once
If you think that the outfit looks pretty Yank - it's okay
First and foremost the usefulness is the most important thing for me.

I don't know why you say you can distinguish between an 'RM loadout' and an 'Army loadout', anymore than you could distinguish between a notional 'RGBW loadout' vs an 'RWF loadout'.
All parts of the service are issued the same kit. As far as I am aware they all get pretty much the same extra stuff issued when mobilising too.
The only difference would be berets, insignia and perhaps para smocks and helmets (if they are still issued?) And you should not be able to tell this because airsofters wearing regtl headress and flashes would be sad.
A guy in one of those new anti-sweat tops but with the cammie arms, with the black gogs on his helmet, or with a windproof and beltkit, could be RM, RAF, and probably just about any part of the Army - whether that be an infanteer to a loggie.
British kit isn't specific to units. Using the same kit you could be in any unit - RTR, RA, RE, REME, No1 Central Mess Tin Repair Unit... You get the picture.
