Those are the issue gloves, well certainly the ones I was issued with (with the strap), they do the job (keeping your hands warm)
What's with the apology? Not like I'm at any trouble cos you don't like them!
I don't see a lot of people wearing them anyhows. Oh, but there are the Northern Ireland gloves too, which have the padded knuckles. And all sorts of mittens and such...

See what you're missingSupple black leather with Goretex lining, buckle on wrist prevents heat-loss.

Do yours have elasticated cuffs? edit; apparently so :]
Heh, mine have some sort of elastic cuff that fits to you, thus negating said strap.
Edit: Fear my rapid response posting time! :P
I got mine from the QM of QDG though, so maybe Tankee's get different ones? Stop the strap catching on stuff inside in the tank or something?

apprantly hk are going to modify rebuild the cadet rifles to semi auto status
so they can use a bfa the new blank magazines and genrally be safer on the range.
you still want get any ammo though![]()
Really? We get loads of ammo normally.
Semi-auto only, huh? Better than nothing, I guess. Still makes no sense when we can use the LSW on fully automatic.
^With regard to issue vs webtex kit, I would never advise one of the blokes to buy webtex, however I'm sure it suffices for airsoft.
The only thing I'll say (and I've said it before) is look on ebay. There is always a slack handful of gen issue chest rigs, assault vests and webbing going for less than £50 a pop. Some of it brand new. Don't waste your money on webtex. I'd rather you lot gave £50 to a squaddie selling off his old kit than £70 to webtex for making shyte. I'm sure you would too.
Some of the webtex kit is reasonably well made - the patrol pack knockoff for one and the combat vest and they are allegedly IRR treated. I havent used them but some blokes I know have .They report no problems and they seem reasonably put together.

Mehrgh......
PLCE is sturdy, can be found cheaper and can be one-for-one'd if you have access to the 'the system'.
I'm agree with sabre,
webtex is useful only for airsoft... but if you want not to spend a lot of money I suggest you ebay.co.uk and issued equipment
A friend of mine told me: "buy webtex, buy twice..."
I need to get some new webbing for my 'dpm loadout', and I've got it down to issue chest rig, issue ops vest or arktis ops vest. Any suggestions on which?
If you have money to spend I suggest you Arktis; for airsoft or one day patrol mission are good 1601 vest or 1724 advanced chest rig (for h24 mission I suggest you to use a medium rucksack also).
I don't know issued vest, sorry, but I have issued PLCE (with hippo pad also). For me PLCE it's a good system to carry a lot of things for normal airsoft sunday morning or a 12 h mission (plus a camelbak 3L).
Issue ops vest, Arktis used to be a good manufacturer, but over the past few years they have gone down hill quite a bit, and the quality of kit has become worse. Go for the plce issue, its issued for a reason.
However, if your an airsofter, it shouldn't really matter, as the strain on the kit will be a lot less compared to what it would be in the regs, and the deciding factor should then be what you prefer the look of over how durable it is. You may as well just go for a webtex vest, it should do for airsoft.
There's a seller on eBay that makes repro-assault vests, which are what I used as a base for mine. Top notch IMO and probably your best deal if you're just using it for airsoft.
He's also got chest rigs and SAAV's.
Personally, I've got both. I use the chest rig for short games, and the vest for longer (24h) games. So figure which you do more and start there![]()
