I always thought dyslexia was a bar on service, can't read manuals/maps/ect
Seems we have a "one action hero" here...
Come on guys, this isn't a thread about dyslexia now is it?
He is a toughened warrior of some years it would seem, if he's done service, gone back to civvy street, got bored and joined the cadet force already!
Yet in all his time he's not learnt to let sleeping dogs lie and pick fights he can win.
Regardless of your stance on walting and what it does and does not entail, why be so concerned as to register for a website and make a single inflammatory post in defense of a group that is of no consequence.
Equally if you enjoy what you do why do you feel the need to defend it in the face of serving servicemen, you wont change their opinions and ultimately you they cant stop you playing your adolescent games. It amounts to sod all - apart from the fact that they ARE what you ASPIRE to be and your behaviour offends them.
Go back to toytown!
yes, i ve seen my mates die in action something that will haunt me for the rest of my life. so ban me then, as for the cadets yes i wanted to give something back, to keep kids on the straight and narrow, evan if they dont go in to the forces
Who's talking about banning you? You have come as a new member to a large and busy forum and started to throw your weight around and criticising established forum policies. You are but one of a very large number of members.
It's quite simple - if you don't like the way this board operates, close the door behind you on the way out. But don't say that anyone has threatened to ban you because so far only you have mentioned it. Please do us a favour however, and respect our rules.
Back on topic,
Anyone know anything about the different varients in the goretex jackets?
The ones I've seen:
-Two chest pockets, done up with two large green buttons, hood with wire running through it.
-Two chest pockets, done up with velcro, hood with wire running through it.
-No external pockets at all, no wire in hood, no rank slide. (Called cs95 jacket?)
-Two pockets on the lower half of the jacket, no wire in hood.
-Two chest pockets done up with velcro, no wire in hood, elastic draw cord around waist. (apparently called 2005 issue goretex jacket?)
If anyone could shed some light on what all the different variants are for, when they were on issue etc
Cheers

Wouldn't want to try and get a respirator out in a hurry either from that set-up when someone shouts GAS-GAS-GAS! He'd be dead-dead-dead!
Knives dont run out of ammo! I carry one on my IBA whenever I go out in the field.
