The frames are actually not Tanfoglio, but their own. The reason why the mags fit is that they all are CZ-75 copies/redevelopments.

Should try the polymer frame, great pistol, crisp trigger pull, and price tag absolutely outrageous

I shot the 9mm version. Very good shooting pistol. The only complaint I have is the slide's profile is too small for me.

You know... I would love one of these... so long as it wasn't a "Baby Eagle" Branded US version.

To answer your question; Yes, the Jericho was made in Isreal. It was marketed in the U.S. with little sales. It was given multiple face lifts and the names/markings have changed over the years but essentially the Jericho 941 is the same as the Desert "Baby" Eagle. Also the manufacturing markings have changed from UZI Eagle from Mossberg, to Magnum Research, IMI and now to IWI.
I have sold many of these guns in 9mm, 40 cal, and 45 ACP and they are very fun to shoot. It would be a better pistol if the slide stop actually worked though. After the last round is fired the slide does not lock to the rear. In my experience they only work on the new 40 cal versions with the red mag follower. Still, nice guns.

As a side note, there are a small number of former Mossad issued Jericho's floating around the U.S. gun market. I was able to pick one up for a friend of mine in excellent condition. The markings on those are very interesting. Very rare pistols.
