Google said to check this thread

Sorry to resurrect this, I was just going to PM Laconia, but maybe someone else had some time with this weapon. Wondering if Laconia or anyone has experience the civilian version, semi-auto.

    thanks

I have shot the dealer-sample select fire version and it was okay. It is compact and was surprisingly controllable. I like the P90 better.

The select-fire version, isn't available to the general public in the US. I haven't shot the semi auto version and haven't had anymore time with the weapon since that trial.

It's a cool little gun and would most likely be suitable for home defense. I'm not sure I would go out and buy one exclusively for HD to the exclusion of other systems, but if I had one, sure.

Laconian is correct, the select fire version is not available to the general public. I was shooting a dealer-sample, which means that it is restricted for resale only to LE/Mil organizations.

I don't think there is a single "ideal" weapon for home protection. Either one would be suitable for home defense, it is just personal preference. The KRISS has the stopping power of a .45ACP round while the PS90 has the 5.7 round that has good damage capability. My choice for home protection is a 12 ga. shotgun, backed up by a Glock 20.

Thanks...I don't have a beef w/ the semi-auto only for civilian, but that long barrel will definitely get in the way. I gather you'll need a discrete armorer to help you convert that to the SB.

Only a dumb one would, just pay the NFA tax and keep it legal. If you get caught defending yourself with an illegal NFA gun, your gonna get screwed.
