Not nearly as scary as the beret in Flecktarn. That's a sacrilege.
I know that my Notausschaltknopf in bright red is hardly better, but a Flecktarn beret is just aweful.

The beret is one I made. I like berets and I like Flecktarn. So a Flecktarn beret sounded natural. It's really comfortable. My homemade camo berets have become popular items for airsofters in the area. I unfortunately can't satisfy everyone's taste in headwear, nor do I plan on trying.

I make custom camo 3-point slings too and I'd love to get my hands on some Flecktarn Cordura if anyone knows where to find it.

Der original Ausrüstungsgegenstand der deutschen Bundeswehr
"This issued piece of equipment of the German Bundeswehr..."

No! We do not issue berets in Flecktarn because the colour is actually needed to identify the branch of troops you're in.
Mine was red because I was a logistician. A tanker's beret is black, a paratrooper wears a dark red one.

    And again, it's a sacrilege.

so what? just because you can buy a FT baret doesnt mean its something the guys in the german army wear....
but i guess people would buy bollocks in a can if is in FT and has KSK written on it...

Thanks. How would I look it up once I'm there? Although I lived in Germany for 6 years (a long, long time ago), I wouldn't come close to knowing enough German to look it up.

Also, I respect the fact that the Bundeswehr does not wear Flecktarn berets, and the reasons why. It makes perfect sense, just like when the US Army used to wear different color berets for different units as well. I'm not trying to pass it off as a standard issue item or such. This is for airsoft only. If you notice I don't wear the flags or any insignia that would indicate I'm a member of any armed force, out of respect for those who serve their countries. I also make myself uniforms out of camo patterns/fabrics that no armed forces even use. If I think the camo works, I'll use it. Again, it is just a personal preference. I appreciate the feedback though, negative or positive.
