SABAH, Malaysia -- Admiral Thomas B. Fargo, commander U.S. Pacific Command, passes before an honor cordon during his visit to Malaysia June 2-4. During Fargo’s three day visit, he will consult with Malaysian Armed Forces leadership, including Chief of Defense General Tan Sri Mohd, Zahidi Hj. Zainuddin, and visit military facilities in Sabah. This is Fargo’s second visit to Malaysia since becoming the U.S. Pacific Commander in May 2002. (USPACOM Photo by PH1 Clinton Beaird)

Nice pictures on the parade rehearsal. I was passing by Museum Negara the other day and most of our armor were parked there. Got a close look at the ASTROS II and ACV-300's. Nice sight.

By the way do any one from Malayasia happen to have any kind of information about a Malayasian prince named Tinku(don't remember which province) who was trained at Indian NDA & IMA and was commisioned into the Indian Army and will serve into the Indian Army for some time before returning to Malaysia. He took part in 2007's Republic Day parade.

Thanks for all the interesting pictures.
The Indian Full Dress is good looking. It doesn't change too much since the British Raj.
Why a Malaysian prince can serve in the Indian army?
and, what is his unit? It seems to be cavalry, but which one?!

He is now serving with 61st Cavalry Unit of the Indian Army. It's a horse mounted unit whose job are to function as Presidential Guards and to take part in various horse shows and polo events around the world.

Wikipedia says, his Cavalry unit is "the world's only non-ceremonial horse-mounted cavalry". So, according to this, he is not just a show-and-go officer, but leader of a true battle unit. Well, dunno how far Wikipedia is a reliable source, though ^^
