UN pays for all equipment bought for Un peacekeeping operation. Infact even the allowance to the soldier were paid by UN. Its always been like that. The Nation who use the equipment can decide to keep the equipment for a price or donate it to whoever UN approved.

The question that should be ask is "Before or after?"

The Peacekeeping Budget pays for UN peacekeeping operations all over the world. The budget is financed through assessments of all UN member states, based on the scale of assessments for the Regular Budget.
