Does Markas TD have a professional head? I always hear about Panglima Medan but what about Army HQ?

Surprised to see this F-5E apparently in service (?)

Yet TUDM only bought 16 of them and we see many as gate guards all over the country.

They should make a shelter or put it inside the hangar building. The colour are starting to wear down.

Hey has anyone got a picture of an Su-30MKM fully armed? Are the weapons in Malaysia yet?

Before the pic with the unguided rocket pods (a Hawk could do the job) on the previous page, I hadn't seen one with even so much as a pylon.

Fully armed pic only in Irkutsk. Until today not a single pic has been shown that the MKM are fully armed in Malaysia. Just some unguided bomb and unguided rockets fired from a few exercise. But yes the weapons are here.

If you see that Irkutsk pic, let me know?

Oh and Kem Lapangan Terbang in Sungai Petani, home of 6 Briged. Why exactly is it called that if it has no airfield?

    This is the one.

That Kem Lapangan Terbang Sungai Petani is not home for just 6 Briged but for others unit as well. Such as 3 Squadron Detachment RMAF, Intelligence Unit (can't remember the name). It used to have a small airstrip in the British era but now just for helicopter usage.

Apparently there is also an army 165 Mil Intelligence Bn.

The current camp is surely too small to have an airfield. When I was in Sungai Petani, my relative told me the area next to the camp, Lagenda Heights once belonged to Police Field Force (he could be wrong). Later it was given to one of the outgoing Police chiefs when he retired. He a found like-minded developer and now it is the hottest area in SP, and his is the biggest house in town.

Yup 165 MIB. That's the Intel Unit I was talking about. Didn't know about the police issue.

Would you know when the army hari terbuka will be? And what day is the army parade along Dataran Merdeka?

I just missed this year's air force and navy one.

Sorry I wast mistaken, AF open day hasn't been held yet.

Thanks for the tip about Subang, so happy.

What's TUDM style- I know several bases had open day last year, is there a "big" one among the many? Do they fly in one of every type or just exhibit the local base?

Last year's big one, I guess it's Kuantan AB Open Day. They didn't fly every type but almost of them. 2011 Kuantan AB Open Day also known as Pre-LIMA 2011. Told by one of the officers.
