no connection at all. coz kesatria UiTM was never a designated by the armed forces of malaysia as an integral part of HANRUH (Pertahanan Menyeluruh) ie. 'Total Defence' nor they fall under the juriprudence of the Military Act 1972 (Undang2 Angkatan Tentera 1972).

Kesatria UiTM was borne under co-curcular activity of a higher learning institution.

to the personnel of MAF, Encik Kanang (any old soldier would prefer to be refer to his last rank, thou retired) he was well know for his PGB (Panglima Gagah Berani).

But Encik Kanang, was indeed the only surviving (still alive) recipient of both (armed force medal) PGB Panglima Gagah Berani & (Federal Medal: not inclusive to the armed force) Seri Pahlawan Gagah Perkasa.

tq for the info mr kurien

the forth badge : the cap badge for RAMD (as i recall in the annal history of RAMD) was the first design for 1st batch of askar melayu in 1933. it was called 'singa berjuang' then after merdeka RAMD got a new cap badge design. it was during 90's which? PAT (panglima Angkatan Tentera) Chief of the Armed Force change it back to the original design.

if i am not mistaken the designer was a 'mat salleh' (malay slang for westerner) CO of the the early RAMD by the name Colonel Bruce something. Need to check it back.
