Wow, I see alot of different optics and configurations there. Astonishing! And next to the M4A1s and M16A4s I even see a M635 sub machine gun in some of the pictures! Great work, ggk, as always

More exact specifications (no guarantee that everything I write is fully correct ):
    Pic 1
M4A1 with Trijicon ACOG, RIS Handguard with front grip.

    Pic 2
    M4A1 with Aimpoint CompM4

    Pic 3
M4A1 with M203A1 grenade launcher, Aimpoint CompM4 and what might be Parascope UCS

    Pic 4
Right: M16A4 with the Aimpont CompM4 and Aimpoint 3XMAG 3x Magnifier, AN/PEQ-2 laser illumination device and SureFire M900 series front grip. Left: M635 SMG with Aimpoint CompM4 front grip and some SureFire thingy.

    Pic 5
Left: M635, Right: M4A1. Both with Aimpoint CompM4, the M4A1 also with Aimpoint 3XMAG.

    Pic 6
Left: M4A1, Center: M635, Right: M4A1. All with Aimpoint CompM4, the right M4 with M203A1 UGL and (maybe) Parascope UCS.

    Pic7
M4A1 with M203 UGL, Aimpoint CompM4, SureFire Flashlight

    Pic 8
M16A4 with Aimpoint CompM4 and Aimpoint 3XMAG, Front Grip. Interestingly, the carrying handle/rear iron sight unit lies next to the weapon on the ground.

    Pic 9
    M4A1 with Aimpoint CompM4

You don't see these uniforms very often, thanks Dewafrost. Even though one has to admit that it's actual performance as camouflage should not be that great

    1. that pic quite present day, but, its not the M16, it is the M4 actually, till now we still can see the mix between the AUG and the M4 but just only a few numbers in a platoon size. maybe only radio operator or leader being issue with the M4...

    2. no, body armour is not a standard equipment, they will issue the body armour when you involved in any UN peacekeeping works.......

Is that Brunei soldier using a Diemaco (now Colt Canada) made C7? Is appear to have the M16A2 handgrip and deflector with A1 rear sights.

    good job David

regarding the bulletproof vest it is not issued to soldier who were operating during peacetime and especially for soldier during jungle op, but it is issued in pecekeeping mission or mission on foreign soil.

FYI: This blue lizard pattern was used by General Operations Force (PGA), the paramilitary troop of Royal Malaysian Police. It was replaced by new subdued woodland camouflage as below.

No, according to my informations Brunei has it's M16's (various versions) delivered directly from Colt, USA. But a interesting detail you noticed there!

What can I say, I'm an AR15 fanboy. Anyway, I'm glad the Malaysian Army is finally adopting the M4. After the scandal that the license built AUG was, the M4 will hopefully bring quality and reliability back to the soldiers in the field.

    Cheers.

no, PASKAU is an Air Force Commando, not equivalent to SAS, the army RGK/GGK and police VAT69 are equvalent with the SAS.....
