Well, another historic first in the lauded annals of MP.net. Our first Bar to the DAOTW award.

A little early this week, but there really wasn't going to be any serious competition for this.

I'm sure the Iranains did treat them very well, but not because the Iranains are compassionate or anything like that but becauase they wanted to claim the moral high ground and say look how we treat foreigners we detain compared to the Americans in Iraq. To get them to confess I think they simply said if you don't it will be a lot longer until you get home. I think this debacle shows that Britains youth today are a lot softer than in the past and quite immature.
Some of them looked giddy with excitement at meeting Amedinajad and enjoyed speaking to Iranian journalists. The least they could have done at that point, when it was clear they where being released was show quiet dignity.

They are trained to resist giving anything but their name,rank and seril number at basic trainig arent they? When they did give all this information up, they had not been in captivity but a few hours. Are you saying none of that matters?

From what I've heard the procedure of only giving name, rank and serial number in the British armed forces have now been replaced by an SOP that instructs any member of the British armed forces being captured to more or less mimick their captors parrot fashion when showed on screen etc?
