    Interesting weekend..

    Friday 1 rep max tested:

    Power Clean @ 315#
    Deadlift @ 535#

I also weighed in at 259# on Saturday (Goal weight for beging of June.)

Then on Sunday I proceeded to cut my foot on a surfboard fin and will be unable to do anything involving foot movement until it heals up.

Looking sharp with the pipe Jurinko, reminds me of the PT test in the Army. We had to run 5k in boots with the same weight.

Course is killing me with the schedule we have...I need to make sure to get my lifts in and get back to eating clean, I've indulged the last two.

I've signed up for the Mountain Man competition here in Edmonton. It involves a 31.6km run with 33 lb rucksack, 3.2km portage with rucksack and canoe, then 10km canoe paddle and finally a 5.6km run with ruck. Sounds like a beast, I'm just planning on finishing, don't care about where I place!
My unit has a team, we started training this week. Got a 14km run on Friday, ought to be fun.

Biked 18 miles last Saturday and another 10 miles yesterday in the blistering heat. I'm not dead from sweating yet. Feels pretty darn good once you start to see some results in weight loss. I do some hiking but its nothing too spectactular considering the area I'm in, I just fill my bug out bag with things that take up weight and go for a long walk. Sometimes it's more enjoyable than riding.

Going to set a schedule of biking 3 days a week and the gym 2 days.

It's about time I get serious about this and achieve the results I want.

I'm about to spend a month in a school with no gym, away from home, in a hotel with no kitchen. This will be bad.

Been dealing with training around my cut foot for 2 weeks now. Each week I have been able to do a little more. Tried to run this last weekend and it wasnt happening though. Hopefully another week and I will be back full go again.

The best gym is a drive...they have a smith machine at the gym closest to the schoolhouse and no squat rack. So it sucks a lot as I'm not really able to maintain my baseline work capacity...especially when I get out at 1900 sometimes.

Definitely make due with what you have. Something is better then nothing. Heck, fill some duffle bags up with dirt and throw those around.

    Last night's workout:

    Bench Press 5 x 5 @ 275#
    Straight Leg Deadlift 5 x 7 @ 295#
    Underhand Grip Pull-ups 4 x 8-6-6-4 @ Bodyweight + 15#
    Walking Lunges 4 x 8-6-6-4 @ 55#

    Core consisted of:
    Pallof Press 4 x 15
    Leg Lifts 4 x 15

    Cardio:
    3 rounds of:
    Alternating Rope Slams x 15
Two handed Rope Slams x 15
    Sledge Hammer x 15
    Airdyne Bike x 1/4 mile
