My partner and I got 5 rounds.
I don't have any CF partners so **** it I'll do it alone tomorrow... Bet I'll be nastily destroyed afterwards.

Also Troub, run as much as you can. It takes longer for your body to cope better with long runs than it takes getting used to pushups/situps/pullups

Good rule of thumb I heard is to increase your total weekly mileage by 10% each week. I used this when coming off of injury, and had no problems getting my legs back.

The short card is really good. It is better to run up to 10K in front of it though for the cardio.

Hey guys, I need some advice how to avoid muscle soreness. At the moment I do stretching before and after running, but it doesn't help. Ideas anyone?

Run more. Simple isn't it? You body will get used to it eventually. Your shoes and style of running affects greatly muscle fatigue as well. Stretching before won't help at all (I'll try and find the articles I read few month ago)

I was at Ironman Mont-Tremblant all weekend long. I must say this is THE most amazing event I've been at (I haven't done it lol). There's just something about it... I cheered for one of my buddy who did his first. Finished in 13:30.

Gotta admit seeing vets doing the event with prosthetic legs was pretty inspiring!

Perhaps I'll quit being a bitch sometime and do something of that caliber in the trail-running world

Yeah Ive also read that static stretches are counter-productive before a workout. I always do ballistic stretches before exercising. But I believe Vince is more knowledgeable on the matter.

I have not post that much here the last months, but I´m still going to the gym 3 times a week, plus "home work out" 2 times a week, plus 1 or 2 running days a week.

Working out is definitively the best part of my day.

I´ve stopped to try heavier weights, but paying attention on my form and how I do it. My ego can wait

It´s always refreshing to see how you guys are improving, keep it up !

I most definitively want to read that; I was convinced, based on what I read, that stretching before was essential !

Excellent, because when they get used to the same weight, they don´t grow.

If you get the chance, I'd recommend it. Pretty rewarding. Find an xterra if you prefer.

I read the samething about stretching about a year ago in Outside magazine. Took it easy yesterday morning. Bench press. 185# 4x8
    strict pullups 5x10
    Front squats 155# 5x10.

afternoon was 24 miles of MTBing. Got a 100k race on Sept.23.
