Itīs not about the weight, because when I use a W-shaped bar I have no problems. I was told that it could be because of the nerves located in my forearms.

Iīd like to know if anyone here has the same trouble, and how to deal with it (besides choosing a W-shaped bar ). Sould I "re-start" with a straight bar, but with lower weight, untill my forearms stop to pain?
The problem you will find is that your Extensor muscles in the forearms aren't strong enough to support your wrists whilst they are supinated. The best thing to do is use a straight bar and do wrist curls off the end of the bench, until you obtain suitable strength within the forearms whilst holding a straight bar. The other important thing to focus on is the position of your elbows in relation to your torso; the further the elbows are from the mid line of the body the more stress you have to put on your writs to hold the bar.

In addition to this, try doing a few sets of negatives with a straight bar and a spotter, this will encourage muscle activation throughout the arms, increase strength and minimize stress on the joints as you are allowed to drop the bar after you fatigue.

    Good luck with your training

After some 20 years in the gym it's quite hard to be motivated and enjoy this as in the past. You need rest and nutrition to train properly but the most obvious asset is to have a nice period in your life so you can exercise with more appetite.

Body mechanics.. Some peoples wrists are not designed to use a straight bar, use a "W" bar and work out..
Your body is not going to get used to it and you might have your arms go out on you if you do say "liying down triceps press-ups" with the bar over your nose..
yeah, that happened to me.. hehe..

That's natures way of telling you to stop working on your beach muscles and to start dead lifting.

Anyone who wants to train more efficiently should get a heart rate monitor.

Thatīs interesting because I do dead lifting with a "considerable" weight, and I experience neither pain nor issues while doing it. Maybe I have to do more !

Kettlebells are amazing little suckers. Their simple design allows you to do just about anything.

Although it annoys me on how a cannonball with a handle could be so freakin expensive.
