Well I'm seeing by the calorie count that he's running slow since typically a mile is about 100-130 calories maybe more depending on how big you are. I think he needs up the intensity and reduce the time but that's just me. And Running that long and that slow is rough because you're taking an insane amount of footstrikes...the faster you go the better to a certain extent in regards to wear and tear on the knees and shins.

No i am not running on treadmill.I can't run since my doctor has advised not to do so. Nowadays i usually walk for 1.5-2 hours at the speed of 6-6.5 which is more than enough considering the fact that my daily consumption does not cross over 1200 cals.

secondly skipping means jumping using a jump rope...in British English a jump rope is called as skipping rope.

That's a pretty low number. I thought most people need a ballpark figure of 2k per day, more if exercising?

Maybe we have a different definition of running unless the speed on your treadmill is 6.5 K and not 6.5 MPH? Because if it's in MPH over here that's a jog/run speed.

Pretty solid on the jump rope.

Corrupt I exercise a ton, granted I'm trying to drop weight but I might be pushing 1800 calories a day probably closer to 1600 most days.

Yeah 16-1800 while trying to lose weight sounds about what I'd expect. I'd guestimate about 18-2200 a day average for me, with a reasonable amount of exercise and my weight remains pretty constant. Another 25% off 1600 that seems a bit too low.

yeah! here we use SI unit..6 kmph is for walking, 7.5 kmph to 8.5 kmph is for jogging.

at 6.5 kmph(my default) one looses 10 cals per minute.

I've started to do 4x4 interval running instead of just running at a steady pace for half an hour or so. I find it to be a far better way of doing cardio. I was actually almost shocked at how hard it was in comparison - i'm absolutely drenched in sweat when i'm done. It's great! Of course, i have to be careful - an old fart like me, i have to watch it so i don't get a heart attack!

Doing sprints while keeping the overall distance accumulated is great because you maintain the endurance quite well if not better and you get faster. I just have a hard time driving to the track sometimes when I can just go running from house anywhere.

Saddle sore starting to form. Back to running a while for me.

Are you trying to lose a good bit of weight? I'd probably die doing that. I consume something like 4000-5000 calories daily.

I packed 10kg on my bagpack and climbed / descended the stairs in my building: up and down all over 11 floors, 4 times.
The climbing part was running !

That´s pretty demanding. Then I did 120 sit ups (30+30+30+30).
