Physical therapy is your friend...I'd actually get on the bike and due low weight work outs with your ****ed up knee...this is coming from a soldier and former football player that has two ****ed up knees.

Actually biking has a real insidious impact on your knees and back too...to burn out fat you need to do the double of the distance than running...so you'll have to bike for an hour instead of running half an hour.

An alternative is swimming. Great cardio and body work out.

I'm looking more to strengthen your knee and not necessarily to burn calories.

    Dexx: I'm old buddy!

Ami Soldat: You probably have a revalidation course...or you'll get one at your local physician.

Meh, your quads will go before your knees will.

I know how to lift...getting the right technique without professional help is pretty hard to do, however with the right technique you'll be able to do a lot more.

It's why I've used exrx.net's advice for years. Even the guys at T-nation rate them highly.

Ok here's the Saucony review. Did 15 laps (15x400m) with the Grid Tangent and about 10 (10x400) with the Grid Fastwitch.

Grid Tangent: Nice, soft, "wide" feeling. Very comfortable,I never felt the need to compensate in length or in pace. Pretty much a "comfort" track shoe. But it seemed a bit too comfy (thus "too heavy" for the track) and they should respond differently on Tarmac, Road.

Grid Fastwitch: Dear mother of gawd. Fast, sharp, no need to adjustment, simply amazing. However...cushionning? What's cushionning...the shoes are simply made for speed and track, they're super light (advertized at 205 gr, showed 192 on my kitchen scale) but don't seem that they would be around long. They gave me the creeps as the stability seems awkward on the turns, they look like spikes, literally and you need to take care on the dynamics of the movement. You can't switch from forward foot to rear foot running.

So scratch what I said before...they're complementary...the Fastwitch are track shoes, as were the Adizero CS.

And the Tangent while being somewhat lighter than the Adizero Tiempo should respond accordingly. How ever as said by some one the insoles seemed to move...

All in all a great buy for 229 eur.

Now I need to figure out what to do with the Adizero CS pair...
