Used to be part of the artillery regiment of the Finnish Navy (amphibious/coastal) Nyland's Brigade. However they have now been replaced with a special anti-shipping version of the Euro-Spike LR. The Finnish Navy also have the Rbs 15 missiles mounted on trucks for anti-shipping warfare, as well as some fixed coastal artillery turrets.

That's correct. We first encountered the M-46 and its Chinese copy (Type 59, if I'm right) in Vietnam, where it outranged everything we had on the battlefield, with the exception of the 175mm M-107 SP howitzer.

M-46 is excellent gun, even by todays standards it provides good artillery coverage.

I believe the South Africans had the same problem, with being outranged by the Soviet-supplied communist forces they fought against, which in turn led to them developing their own long range artillery.

If you use the Finnish army designations you will find tons of photos (and videos on Youtube). The older model from Tampella which is used as army corps artillery supporting the brigades in combat is designated 155 K 83. The newer one which is used by the readiness brigades artillery regiments is the 155 K 98 and made by Patria. Main difference is that the 98 have an APU and longer range (up to 40-50 kilometers depending on ammunition used).
