    Default Wipe Out Global Warming

Crow calls for limit on loo paper

Singer Sheryl Crow has said a ban on using too much toilet paper should be introduced to help the environment.

Crow has suggested using "only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where two to three could be required".

The 45-year-old, who made the comments on her website, has just toured the US on a biodiesel-powered bus to raise awareness about climate change.

She teamed up with environmental activist Laurie David for the shows.

The pair targeted 11 university campuses to persuade students to help combat the world's environmental problems.

I propose a limitation be put on how many squares of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting
    Sheryl Crow

"I have spent the better part of this tour trying to come up with easy ways for us all to become a part of the solution to global warming," Crow wrote.
"Although my ideas are in the earliest stages of development, they are, in my mind, worth investigating.

"I propose a limitation be put on how many squares of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting."

The tour ended on Sunday at the George Washington University in Washington DC, where Crow performed with Tim McGraw, Faith Hill and Carole King.

Laurie David's husband, Seinfeld creator Larry David, also appeared.

Crow has also commented on her website about how she thinks paper napkins "represent the height of wastefulness".

She has designed a clothing line with what she calls a "dining sleeve".

The sleeve is detachable and can be replaced with another "dining sleeve" after the diner has used it to wipe his or her mouth.

The shows involved a short set by the singer, a talk by David and segments of Al Gore's environmental film An Inconvenient Truth.

No wonder Karl Rove recoiled when she reached out to touch him.

Maybe we should look into some alternatives to using toilet paper like say The New York Times.

Imagine someone like Michael Moore using just one square .. nevermind don't imagine that.

If she meant it in conjunction with bidet its doable Other than that half of the roll is never enough

Anyway bio-disel bus? Maybe it will save the planet, but only because farmers will stop produce food and will start produce fuel(better profit) and we all die of hunger... celebrities...

    Sure, that will happen!

If the demand for food goes up, so does the prize, and eventually will overtake the prize of fuel... BEFORE anyone will starve.

I guess it does, I will get there eventually.

The third world is already starving, and they don't really benefit from the western worlds overproduction of food anyways.

Starvation in the world is not due to lack of food, but the way it is distributed (or in some cases, NOT distributed). We still have the possibility to increase food production 10 fold if need be. Probably even more.

There is still a lot of nations out there using dark age farming techniques. If we get them going, everything will be fine.

Anyway It stills holds that bio-diesel is a dead end... Its not enough to fill even 10% of fuel consumption and it raises prices of food ridiculously...

And most problems could be solved by a one gal or guy who invents one deep run, quick recharge, light, infinitely reusable, high capacity, inexpensive car battery... Do I ask for much

Absolutely. I want to emphasize that it has no sense to deny the existence of Global Warming and not to accept the possible climtatic changes it could bring. Proposals which are based on pure hysteria are even more useless. The climatic situation has changed before, an we are still here and live on this planet. Suggestions like this one will lead to nothing, that's it.

I bet driving a big ass bus all around the country bio diesel or not is just great for the environment. Well i guess you can't shove a whole concert worth of bulls*it into a Toyota prius and maybe thats why hypocrites like Mrs Crow use a bus like eveyone else.
