    MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. (May 2, 2007)— Marines of Headquarters and Service Company, 8th Communications Battalion, II Marine Expeditionary Force, began pre-deployment training recently, to enhance the combat readiness or their unit. The Marines here are practicing improvised explosive device drills by evacuating from the rear of a seven-ton truck, rolling safely away and then setting up a perimeter to secure the area and return fire if necessary.

    Soldiers with 2nd Brigade, 7th Iraqi Army Division are given a class on Improvised Explosive Devices by U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Delbert D. Lapointe, 192nd Combat Engineer Battalion. The soldiers are currently students at the Iraqi School of Infantry, Camp Yassir, Iraq







    Soldiers with 2nd Brigade, 7th Iraqi Army Division patrol through an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) training area. The training area is to teach the soldiers how to identify the most recent ways insurgents are hiding and setting up their IEDs. The soldiers are currently students at the Iraqi School of Infantry, Camp Yassir, Iraq
