5.11, very durable pants
Hey anyone have a good set of pants they would recommend for hiking? I hike about 15-20 miles on the weekend and my BDU pants have had it. I only used them 6 times and the crotch ripped out and the knees. Anyone know of a decent pair or pants that they use or recommend. Thanks

Rail Riders, blows 5.11's out of the water.
North Face A5 utility pants are glorious.
Believe it or not, Land's End Outrigger Pants. Tough, convert to shorts, Lots of pockets, flat seams. If they fail you, they give you your money back. Of course, they're decidedly un-military in appearance, if that matters to you...
I just bought two pairs of Columbia trail cargo pants off ebay for 10 bucks brand new, im gonna give these a try. If these dont work ill try the north face.
Just don't ever buy something made by Fostex, I permanently leave the house with my housewife on me..![]()
I cant comment on the 5.11s, but yes, Rail Riders are the absolute best pants Ive ever owned. I bought them for camping/hiking but wear them just about every day now.
