The way you state that, it almost sounds like the Gripen is going to a flag-aircraft.Originally Posted by Skyman

hi, where is the Chakri Naruebet? Thailand bought that carrier 10 years ago, is not in use?
Good thread. Do you have any pictures of the Royal Guards on parade? I'm always confused about their uniforms. Scarlet for 1st and 3rd Bn? White for 2nd?
According to the 'Trooping Colours Parade Guidebook 1996' in the march past 1st Battalion(2nd Bn,1st infantry Regt.,The King's Own Bodyguard) wear scarlet tunics, black velvet collar and cuffs with gold piping.2nd Battalion(3rd Bn,1st Intantry Regt,The King's Own Bodyguard) wear white tunics with magenta collar and cuffs with gold piping.3rd Battalion(2nd Battalion,2nd Infantry Regiment,The King's Guard) wear green tunics, black collar and cuffs with gold piping. In the Trooping Colours parade altogether are 3 Regiments of 3 battalions each plus the mounted element formed by Royal Cavalry Squadron(29th Cavalry Squadron,The King's Guard)Hope this helps.
