I think the LBV trend just came about because the yanks were swapping over to MOLLE and the 'surplus market' was flooded with them. I just jumped on the bandwagon. They're good for having the extra space, but nowadays with wearing CBA all the time it doesn't really matter if you just use the issue yoke. You don't really need extra padding as the CBA takes the weight.

    For courses (ie junior/senior brecon) it's issue kit all the way. I've managed to cobble some spare stuff up so that I have a 'regulation' set in case anyone kicks up a stink and to use on courses.
    cheers mate, i only bought it because my SAAV was p!ssing me off, so i saw your rig & a few pics & vids of paras showin em off. Plus i find the beltkit much better! I wouldn't dare wear any non issue gear as a recruit tho, thats just asking for a suicidal beasting LOL But im only a space cadet atm so regulation gear doesn't mean f*ck all You can wear wotever you want aslong as your trousers, shirt & combat jacket/smock is British.

    Paddy,

    Mate I really do feel sorry for you, u push E-walting to new extremes! It really does seem a bit sad that you got all dressed up in some nice ironed combats, borrowed an airsoft rifle from a friend (bit ironic that, borrowing an airsoft gun from a friend to take the pis$ outta them?) an got some person who has a lot of spare time to take some pictures of u, just to get a few sh*ts an giggles (if that...). I'm sorry, but i've just left cadets, and am joining up soon, an even i think ur a fcuking A class walt of the highest order, wonder what ur muckers think of you..

    Sorry if i'm going a bit OTT, but this has really pissed me off

    I used a self timer, this was all off my own back. Glad I achieved something then huh?

    Fergie, when you do join up, I wish you all the best in doing so, well done; maybe you'll understand the mentality a bit more and see why me and my mates got a laugh out of all this.

    Best of luck mate. Sounds like you're on the right track.

    @Paddy:

    Mate, I don't think your scheme has had quite the impact you expected, but it's been amusing for me at least.

    Oh noes, I am undone.

    I wish I could one day reach the heights of the cadets.

    Oh by the way, what badges am I wearing? Your stalking skills must be amazing.

    Paddy, i can kinda see your point, i really do get annoyed also when i see some of the guys on here with para lids, wings and got knows what else they've scabbed off fleabay which they could never earn in a million years. To be honest, the only airsoft weapon i own is a spring one that cost me £50 about 2 years ago (which is currently broken..). But there are some guys also that arent that bad on here, which is why i got kinda pissed.

    No hard feelings mate
