why are people getting nominated for posting things that aren't dumb?
i study law here in Netherlands and the British govt had a documented policy 40 years ago of exploiting "Africa" for the betterment of England. they took tonnes of gold, minerals, large swathes of prime farm land which they still occupy etc.
its controversial to post that here, but it doesn't make me dumb, in fact it makes the person calling me dumb, dumb.

My father is from West Africa (Ghana) and I decided to study there (Senegal) for a summer.
Anyway the prof. had us read a book "How Europe Underdeveloped Africa" basically a premise basing today's woes are a direct result of the colonial period of Europe in Africa.
Caveat, while Euro-Colonialism had it's faults, Europe blanketly did not in all instances / is not currently inflicting some type of torture on Africa. History does have it's demons.

Even if, as you submit the poster was making a political statement, be they subjective as all hell, and thus hard to judge, it was a dumb ass comment even if a political opinion. Furthermore, he did it on an open board so he is open to being called dumb.
