As to the spending money on asg insteaad of the real weapons - not everyone can have one. In example here it's damn difficult and expensive to get the firearm licence. Plus the firearms are more expensive than they should be.

That's true. Airsoft originated in Japan because all firearms are banned. Real weapons are cool, but only in the right hands.

Those are sweet pieces of gear dude. Where did you get that helmet? Because i've seen some similar but they have an egg yellow color instead that nice sand color. And your APTIAL is real, isn't it?

Zero: not G&P, Chinese replica, you can get it now on most Hong Kong airsoft online retailers.

Xmith: that helmet came black, I painted it with Krylon khaki camo paint. I know of the egg-yellow-mustard helmets you mentioned. And the "PEQ-15" isn't real, no replicas of that yet. Its home made.

It is stuff like that which further sours the real deal guys' perception of you milsim/airsoft people. To them, the only reason you "need" such accurate impressions, and then take both amateur and "action" photos are to try and pass yourself off as the real thing (if you physically can), if not on myspace, then in a photo on a wall, and is similar to stolen valor. Good job on catching it and policing up your own - you're keeping the peace.

Thanks Sandman. I too found it annoying when kbar put up airsofters on that SEAL photos and vids thread because he thought he looked 'cool'. I don't really too much of a problem with airsofters until they start wearing patches that clearly identify them as SEALs. Other patches like the calico jolly roger and other morale patches are fine to me.

The guy on the top looks almost exactly like my dad, who actually was in the Navy for 20 years. Except instead of a sniper rifle, he packed a spatula.

PS: The guy in the American kit in this pic, looks almost exactly like James Suh, a real SEAL who was killed in Operation Red Wing (RIP), as chronicled in the book "Lone Survivor".
