I like to shoot them too.

No need to get pissy, and I didn't want to derail a thread...airsoft cosplay is a fine hobby, and better than a lot of ways folks find to waste money. RC Cars come to mind. But anyway, go forth and play dress-up, my apologies for ruffling feathers.

Don't worry I'm not pissed... I don't wear thousands of dollars worth of gear. My costliest rig cost me around 150$ and my favorite is a 20$ ALICE belt kit.... Of course my militaria collection is an another story

It's just that I too thought that only airsofters were uber gearwhore until I went to a big PB field not too long ago and wow I was stunned to see CIRAS, drop legs panel, multicam, helmets, and realistic looking markers.

oh my oh my, the uneducated people!!

any airsoft gun will work under water, period, with battery in it, and it will work just as good as before you put it in the water. all of the wires are sealed off, so you dont have to worry about it shorting out. the only real problem with dipping your gun in water is when you are done playing around, you must take your gun apart and DRY EVERYTHING. dry everything inside of the gearbox, clean the whole gearbox out (take shims and bushings out too) and then re-apply grease and put it all back together.

they only problem with dipping your gun underwater is. . . RUST!

and another thing: VFC's claim to fame is "we can put our guns underwater and they still fire" but every single manuf. of airsoft replica's can do this.

search it on Youtube, DragonM from asb has a vid of him putting his d-boys AK (that or his jg m4) into water and mud. and they work just fine after

Question for the OP; Do you have a kitlist? Shooting a motion picture and having trouble putting together a SEAL woodland kitlist.

    Cheers

well aslong as it doesnt exceed 9,6 V... it surely wont..
have you thought that water actually will get into the GB, aswell as the motor? theyre not isolated like the cables..
all the conducts are usually blank.
so if you have a aeg that runs with more than 9,6v (eg with a mosfet build it or whatever) it can get you into trouble...

    Airsoft...

    Nice gear, seems overkill though.

I mean, with how much he has spent, he could easily get some nice real steel firearms. Which is why I'm saving up for either a real SPAS-12 or a Springfield Armory XD45 pistol.

So he could use them to shoot his friends for fun?
I don't know anyone who uses airsoft as a supplementary hobby for dealing with real firearms, so stop assuming that they do
