    Default Sniper rifle pic question

Whats that funny looking handle thing at the back of the rifle?
It reminds me of a G clamp...

    Just found something about it..

Looks like some kind of recoil system integrely biult into the buttstock. Neat configuration though, I do like the bull-pup design. A detachable mag? The trigger/trigger assembly reminds me of the FAMAS a little too. Nice pic!

I've seen some rifles that have an adjustable monopod or something similar at the rear of the buttstock. I guess its to help better stabilize the gun when aiming. That looks like it has one that can rotate upwards.

Accuracy International's AW50F has something similar.

Nice rifle, but this should be in photos/videos or equipment/gear topics.

looks like a rear mono pod like others have sed, looks like its also a good rear handle as well.

Its a monopod that folds up to double as a rest for the left hand when not needed. Pretty clever.

Like Shanghai said its basically a fold down foot also known as a butt spike. It folds down and supports the rear of the rifle. The little foot on the end can screw in or out, bringing the barrel up or down. Its also used as a monopod

The monopod is nothing new. This is a 20mm Solothurn anti-tank rifle from the 1930's.

This rifle is made by the Poles IIRC.

Perhaps REMOV could provide us some more info about this SES.......

    Quite nice

Two versions with 560 mm barrel length and 660 mm barrel.

    The designer, Alexander Lezucha

PS. AFAIK, there is a chance, that tactical/sport Alex version (.308 Win.) of this sniper rifle will be show at IWA 2008, Nurnberg, Germany.
