    Default ICE Tactical

Just found a reasonable looking multicam dealer... Integrated Combat Systems. I was wondering if anybody has made purchases from them and if they've got any input on the products, etc.

    Thanks,

I've heard they make really high quality stuff, but they can be pretty slow on delivery, replying back, etc

I was able to pick up a dump pouch of there's second-hand. Awesome bit of kit and VERY well made.
Alas, I've heard they are fairing poorly in communications but have recently been getting better.

When I made a group order for their MC clothing ( 15 sets) it took about 4 months to get them. Some customers had waited longer but I told Hobey that my lawyer would get in touch with him if I didn't get my stuff real soon.

A few things that they could do to improve their quality has been addressed in their later production batches. I might actually try and order a new set because those details are starting to bother me. The sizes are on the small side and I would order one size bigger the next time. I don't know if it's still like this on the newer batches.

The soft shell jacket is great and I wear it as much as I can. Not too happy with the hard shell jacket though. The zippers keep getting caught in the flap.

If you are ordering at lease 5 sets, he gave us a 20% discount.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm deciding whether or not to order, 4 months is a long time. I just sent and email inquiring about shipping time, if I don't get an answer be the end of tomorrow I'll call.

4 months is a short waiting time compared to stories on multiple boards.
If you make an order make it over the phone and make sure that they wont charge you until your item(s) ships. Cause they are almost slower at refunding then they are at getting the products out.
    Just a little warning.

Just got an email from Hobey saying they moved location and fixed the size problems. Shipping with a week of the order taking 3 weeks to arrive on average.

Sounds like good news, though I'm going to look around for other peoples info if they've ordered from them in the past couple months.

Got to meet the man and check out his new shop and the mountain of gear he's got in stock. I'm pretty confident his turnaround times will be greatly reduced. I ordered a dump pouch, battle belt, rigger's belt, suspenders, mag pouches, frame-sheet aluminum stay mod, and all was ready within 2 days. I found him very easy to deal with.

I certainly hope they cut down on their shipping times...since I really want their suspenders and modular belt....

I've got an ICE Battle Belt in Multicam. The quality is great and I had it within a week. I do believe their production problem is solved or greatly reduced. You will see a bunch of their gear on Ebay now, directly from the manufacturer. Hobey has been great with me on emails and communications. I will buy from him again.

Is ICE's multicam clothes ripstop material?

sorry for the necropost but just sharing my story about ICE...

It appears that nothing has changed with ICE... On Feb 22 I e-mailed them to see if they had certain items in stock and was promptly told everything was indeed in stock. Placed the order immediately and after 2 weeks I sent another e-mail to Hobey and surprise, surprise, communications ceased (I even tried going through Derek) and I finally had to resort going through the third company that does billing for ICE this weekend (a full month after placing an order for something in stock) to get my refund and to top it all I lost 5$ due to the currency conversion...

Thanks a sh*tload ICE, nothing like getting the screw and having to pay for it too.
