According to those articles I posted, these new Leos could have some exporting potential. Do for example German, Dutch or Polish armies have any need for engineer vehicles based on Leo 2 chassis?
There is already a CEV based on the Leopard 2: The Kodiak, built initially to a Swiss requirement; but an AVLB on the Leopard 2 might be an idea, although the Germans are developing the RUFUS (Rheinmetall Universal Fahrzeug Fuer Unterstuetzungs-Systeme) to meet emerging user requirements for an Armored Engineer Vehicle (AEV) to support medium forces. According to the company there is a potential market for different armored support vehicle types for the home and export markets.
