OK, thanks for the info. I'll have to see how it works out for me. If so, I'll try to find a better holster.

Stallion Leather, Boston Leather and Bianchi are the only companies making duty grade flap holsters for 7060.
Awesome. Thanks for the help!!
Hi there,
I have got both Surefire X200 and Insight M6X. Both are equally powerful despite the technical specs and difference in technology. when i superimpose one on another and vice versa on a white wall, one cannot tell the differnece in power.
The X200 light is whitish and beam projected image more consistent and seamless. However, the M6X is as powerful, but the light is yellowish and the incandescent wire is visible and projected on the target, making it visually slightly less "attractive".
Blinding power is equal. M6X has the laserlight![]()
or you can get one made to measures from http://www.blade-tech.com/home.php
I sent them my gladius a long time ago (there's no holster available a that time) and they made a holster for it!!!!
a great bunch a guys![]()
Hey, great link dude!
Thanks much![]()
Well I just saw the mother of all headtorches the other day.
Googled it and came up with this beast:

Anyone had one of these before, and whats your opinion of it? As its a bit pricey to splash out on so it's got to be uber-tastic to justify that number of beer tokens spent on it!
I do like the advertising blurb 'red light filter to MAKE YOU MORE TACTICAL THAN EVER!!!' heheh
Also google turned up this, like the same but with a weird plate/mount bracket:

Thoughts, anyone?
Cheers
BB
PS: If anyone here know a place selling them cut price, you would be a legend!

Buddy has one and likes, but holy sh** is it pricey. HMMMMMM beer-light, beer-light, beer light??????? ew tough decision my freind![]()
I got one a few weeks ago, from ebay, for about 60$ new, + 15$ shipping to Israel)
Since I work in an archaeological dig set underground (old edomite city's underground complex), a head lamp and a good multitool are a daily necessity.
I upgraded from a petzl tikkina (two leds light weight), and here are the main issues and good points about this lamp:
Good:
- great beam, with a long range
-The boost mode is incredibly strong for a led
- Low consumption, since I got it, I changed the batteries only once, and I WORK with this lamp
- Decent low profile head band, fit's perfectly on a helmet too
- The battery charge indicator seems to be accurate
Bad:
- It's weight is a bit forward, so you have to tighten it up a bit if you don't want to see it wobling on your head during fast or violent movements.
- The beam is too damn narrow, so you need to use the diffuser (white pre-installed) in order to walk around in hard terrain
- The other diffusers are then very cute, but not really useful (note that you can stock one extra diffuser directly on the head band with a little clip attached to the band)
- Unless you get a good deal (not the one in your link), it is quite pricey
I find the regular Tactikka plus to be an effective light at a decent cost. It has a simple red filter that can be changed easily. The range isn't impressive ( 5-7m at most) but in the field I only use it with red anyways. The weight is negligible and it stays comfortably on your head or helmet.
Cheers gents, think I will go for it, as it's going to come in useful (and safer!) when going for a run at night as well as mil stuff, so it will get used more than once in a blue moon - wish I had it this last winter tho as we now have gorgeous evenings...
And Petzl are meant to be good at making them.
I suppose the next logical question is, anyone know the cheapest place to get it from? £40 is the best I've found so farand in UK would be easiest...
Thanks gents its always good to get a heads-up before splurging out the cash...

USMCPro have them for about £36.
Just in case you were a little shakey about the price; I've had mine for about 20 months and have used it pretty hard during that time and it is still running like a champ. I have several other lights and headlamps, but this is by far my favorite flashlight. The only problem that I've encountered is the annoying blinking that the LED starts to do when it senses your batteries are getting low. It seems like with the light at full power the beam starts blinking a little quick after a battery change. Otherwise, enjoy your purchase.
