LAV IIIs roll out of Patrol Base Wilson to conduct a presence patrol and gather information in the Zhari District. The pressence patrol is to show the local population that the military remains intent and determined to maintain security in the area for the rebuilding process.

Engineers from 5e R使iment du G始ie du combat (5 RGC), Valcartier, Quebec, blow up an 87mm rocket found off a commonly used route seperating the Zhari and Maywand Districts. Just hours earlier the same engineers had discovered and disposed of an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in the same area.
