Caught 2 stripers (Rockfish) yesterday - 1 - 6 lb; the other 7-lb.
Rockfish tournament winner: 15.8 lbs (32") = $5,000 first place. Yay for him.

I prefer fishing,blue marlin,white marlin ,tuna and dolphin fish.(Mostly tag and release)

^ thats quite the fish. last time i went fishing was two years ago in newfoundland. salmon and brook(?) trout. We never managed to catch a salmon but there was plenty of trout and fresh cod

I have absolutely zero experience with deep sea fishing. Almost all of mine is flyfishing for salmon and trout a la "A River Runs Through It".

Didn't see any deer but my buddy got a Mallard from his tree stand. Pretty lucky shot.

Whats the shooting country like out where you are ? Distance shots or close in ?
Just out of interest did you use factory or hand loads in the 270 and what pills did you use (i.e. Barnes X, HP, JHP, PSP etc).
