lord, if I had a LE MKIII, it wouldnt be loaned to anyone !
I had a small frame gal friend at the time, she loved shooting it.

BTW, was it your thumb that got your lip. The one I had was really enjoyable to shoot. Maybe the load was hotter than normal.

I had a 300 Win Mag that was more comfortable to shoot than a 30-06. There are other variables involved than just caliber.

Just came back from the west coast. Climbed to the top of the hills to hunt Thar. Could not find the track back, took a wrong turn and was unable to get back up. Climbed down a 1,000 meter rock face to the creek bed. Followed it down till conditions got too bad. Used pack as floatation device and floated down as far as possible. 200 meters from safety conditions became impassable with sheer rock faces and creek to dangerous to try to float down. Now suffering hypothermia. Time to bite the bullet. Wrapped myself in space blanket and wedged myself between two large rocks and set off the ELT.Next morning at 5 oclock i was winched out by helicopter. ELT saved my life.

    Damn!

Glad to hear you're OK....very rugged stuff.....

Just got back from Malborough hunt in the hills and along the coast......good fun, but absolutely shattered.

My Savage 10FPLE2 with S&B glass was the hit of the party...good hits out to 550+m

Unfortunately, a mate put a .243 round through my M14 by accident when reloading in the heat of the moment(he was swapping between rifles).
