When it rains on the west coast all you can do is stay in the hut and play board games. A pic of my ride out.

I thought I would post a few photos from a Lion hunt by Dougie Wright and his client somewhere near Nokaneng in Botswana IIRC.

The Lion ended up jumping through the wind screen afte being wounded by the customer. Then being dispached by the Dougie shortly after with two shots.

The two bullets traveled through the Lion and out into the seat.

    The Lion after being skinned.

Yeah pretty much anything by Peter Hathaway Capstick.

I would suggest The African Adventurers, Death in The Silent Places, and The Last Ivory Hunter.

went bunny hunting today, couldnt pic a worst day, its worm but overcast (or was in the morning) the snow is melting, but there is still a lot of it on the ground, walking was a pain in the butt. I spooked a big fricking hawk, and I mean big, also hunting in the grove, saw tons of tracks, a grouse but no bunnies, worst of all by the end of the trail I pulled out my cell phone to check if anyone called and instead of putting in the pocket i droped it in the snow without noticing it. Went back to the truck, only 400m away, and realised I dont have the cell, went back but no luck, there is 2 ft of snow on the ground.
this is the third time I lost somthing on that fricking trail, two years ago a skinner, last year a buddy's mag for cooey, and now a cell phone, I dont think Im comming back there again

I have a question about scope blur. Hopefully I'm in the right thread. If not, Help Me Out!! While firing my 30.06, after about 20 - 30 rounds my scope appeared blurry. The target came in and out of focus. Almost like when you drink too much and things appear to slightly double. ? . It wasn't my eye and it didn't stay this way. The scope is brand new. Is there something wrong with it or did this maybe come from the heat off the barrel? Has this ever happened to anyone and can someone explain this.

anybody in here shoot prairie dogs? if so, what kind of rigs do you use to take the little varmints out?

I use one of these: http://www.marlinfirearms.com/Firear...gnum/982VS.asp

I'd like to get a Model 700 in .220 Swift for longer range work.

I want to get into groundhog shooting, but it will have to wait a bit, I may try it with my lakefield mk2 this spring/summer, any other rig has to wait till I get some dough

Will I get a tighter shot group if I move from a 150 grain bullet to a 165?
