Allready with the first un contigents to Lebanon the Norwegian soldiers experiensed that the idf had some thought through and practical solutions. The israeli ephod rigs could carry more ammunition, gear and stabilise the weight better then the old rigs from ww2 the norwegians used.
The duffle bags and the rifle slings were adopted by many of the soldiers.

Shame that Fridtjof Nansen class has no CIWS. Plus cripled version of Aegis with all drawbacks which it means. Plus dubious quality of spanish "craftsmanship". Pity.
