Allready with the first un contigents to Lebanon the Norwegian soldiers experiensed that the idf had some thought through and practical solutions. The israeli ephod rigs could carry more ammunition, gear and stabilise the weight better then the old rigs from ww2 the norwegians used.
The duffle bags and the rifle slings were adopted by many of the soldiers.

This info was unvealed at navy cheifs address at oslo sjømiltære samfunn,he didnt say what type of ciws that was inn store for Nansen class,just that it would be a ciws in 2010.
